Shawbrook Bank

Founded in 2011, Shawbrook is a specialist bank that has now lent around £5bn in finance. Formerly Whiteaway Laidlaw Bank, Shawbrook was boosted by a £75m investment from the British Business Bank designed to help support the business’ strong growth trajectory,

Describing themselves as a property investing and finance peer-to-peer platform, LendInvest are a relatively new Fintech brand but with some impressive credentials. Originating from Montello, a London-based short-term property finance lender, Lendinvest has the financial backing of Atomico, a European venture capital fund co-founded by Niklas Zennström, one of the co-founders of Skype.

Octopus Property

Octopus are another specialist lender: they’ve lend over £3bn since 2008. Voted Development Finance Provider of the year three times by Moneyfacts, they are part of the larger Octopus Group which has injected over £8bn into the British economy.
