How We Research and Review
Our process is the same across every sector we cover.
1. Analyse: We start by building a broad picture of the market; the key players, typical fees and features, and how things are changing.
2. Review: We then assess individual brands in detail, drawing on official sources, direct conversations with provider staff, and real-world testing where relevant.
3. Compare: We bring those assessments together into structured comparisons, so you can weigh your options side by side without having to piece it all together yourself.
4. Publish and maintain: We don’t publish and walk away. Our Quality Assurance Department regularly revisits every article on the site to check that rates, fees, and eligibility criteria are still accurate.
Our Editorial Independence
Business Expert is free to use. We generate revenue through commercial partnerships; some providers compensate us when you follow a link and take action, which is standard practice for independent comparison sites and is how we keep the service free.
It does not affect how we assess products. Our rankings are based on independent research criteria: fees, features, customer service, and product suitability for different business types. A provider cannot pay to improve their position in our comparisons. When we call something ‘best’, it’s because it earned that assessment against our independently applied criteria.

Regulatory Status
Business Expert is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) as a financial adviser. We are an independent information and comparison service. We don’t handle transactions, provide regulated financial advice, lend money, or offer insurance or brokerage services.
